Gold Coast gets its first Sebel hotel

The Gold Coast has its first Sebel hotel property with the opening today of The Sebel Twin Towns Coolangatta.

After an extensive $11 million transformation of the ocean tower of Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta by Accor, the two hotels now sit side-by-side.

The Sebel Twin Towns Coolangatta has 120 rooms across five floors, including a selection of queen rooms, twin rooms and king suites.

An executive lounge exclusively for The Sebel guests, The Sebel Den, will also launch in the coming months.

Accor Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Derry, said: “We are excited to bring The Sebel, a hotel brand of stature and presence, to the Gold Coast.

“The Sebel has an exceptional reputation for delivering world-class accommodation and an outstanding guest service experience.

“We’re seeing strong visitor numbers at our Gold Coast properties and the Gold Coast continues to be one the most popular destinations to visit in Australia.”

Accor and Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts have been in partnership since Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta was launched in 2015.

Twin Towns CEO Rob Smith said: “After five years of planning, we are thrilled to welcome The Sebel brand to Twin Towns and look forward to the future success of this new partnership.

"The $11 million transformation has elevated the hotel rooms to a brand new level of style and sophistication."

Located on the southern Gold Coast, The Sebel Twin Towns Coolangatta is just a short stroll to Greenmount Beach and Rainbow Bay, where the Quicksilver Roxy Pro surfing event is held annually.

The resort features a range of on-site recreation facilities, including  a heated indoor swimming pool, a resort-style swimming pool, two outdoor spa tubs, a fitness centre and steam room, a mini golf course and games room, and two tennis courts.

Guests can stay at The Sebel Twin Towns Coolangatta from $179 per night in a queen room (Sunday to Thursday), including breakfast for two and wifi. To book visit
