Hotel deals unveiled for Hobart's Dark Mofo festival

Tasmania's Dark Mofo festival has teamed up with Accor Pacific, Tasmania’s largest hotel operator, as official accommodation partner for the 2023 event.

Returning from June 8-22, the Hobart's mid-winter festival is a celebration of the dark through large-scale public art, food, music, fire, light, and noise, underpinned by the longest night of any Australian capital city.

The festival highlights centuries-old rituals to explore the links between "ancient and contemporary mythology, humans and nature, religious and secular traditions, darkness and light, birth, death and renewal".

The event usually draws big crowds and accommodation can be both hard to find, and expensive. 
Accor hopes guests will explore Hobart and public art, live music, performances and nocturnal revelry.

Highlights will include the Winter Feast on the waterfront, the Ogoh-Ogoh’s Purging and Burning, two weekends of revelry at Night Mass, and the Nude Solstice Swim which closes the festival, welcoming back the light after the longest night.
