A trip to the football with Eric Cantona?

Fancy a few days away with a trip to the football as the highlight?

Former Manchester United and France star Eric Cantona is hoping to shake up the sports tourism market with a new range of tours, Travel Mole reports.

Cantona has launched Looking FC, featuring a selection of football trips for fans to experience around the world in partnership with travel start-up Dharma.

"Our idea was to create the most passionate football trips on earth, with charisma and soul," Cantona said. "Everything today is optimised for price - we wanted to optimise for passion."

Based on the Looking For documentary series produced by Cantona and his brothers, each four-day trip is crafted by Cantona himself.

The trips all culminate with a game day experience at iconic stadiums for major matches.

In the lead up to the games, trips will feature experiences such as "chant workshops" with fans, street walks with historians, and tactics briefings with leading journalists.

"These trips are for those who still believe in passion and want to go deeper into their love of football," Cantona said.

"Once-in-a-lifetime trips -feel the history and live the noise."

Manchester (United), Buenos Aires (Boca Juniors), Liverpool (Liverpool), Milan (Inter Milan), Madrid (Real Madrid), Barcelona (Barca), Paris (PSG), Lisbon (Sporting Club), and Casablanca (Raja) are the nine trips that will be featured this season.

They will take in fixtures including a Liverpool v Manchester United game at Anfield, a Real Madrid v FC Barcelona El Classico and a PSG v Marseille match.

Looking FC has also announced that 1% of its revenue will go to supporting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals Initiative and all trips will be are carbon offset through Thrust Carbon.
