Adelaide has a brand new take on the old motel, and its called HotelMOTEL, which has seen the former South Terrace Motel undergo an extensive renovation.

The new offering is midway between a hotel and a motel; hence the name.

Behind each orange door is what they describe as "a stylish and comfortable room with plush beds, matte black finishes and navy and terracotta accents".

Located in the South Terrace precinct, each of the 61 guest rooms features a mini bar, free wifi, espresso machine with complimentary coffee pods, Thankyou bathroom amenities, smart TV (so you can Netflix and chill) and hairdryer.

Opposite Adelaide Park, HotelMOTEL is surrounded by parklands and gardens.

Norman Arundel, director of Hotels and Resorts for operators EVENT, said: “The latest edition to The Independent Collection by EVENT, HotelMOTEL offers unbelievable value for guests.

With options for solo and couple travellers, along with families, guests can drive up for contactless check in via the HotelMOTEL intellity app, a unique offering for a motel.

Once checked in, guests can order their favourite share plates and burgers through the app, for in-room dining that is delivered 'takeaway' style to the motel door.

To celebrate the opening, HotelMOTEL has rooms at $99 per night for Priority Guest Rewards (PGR) members.
