The Great Southern region of Western Australia is home to some excellent wine and food experiences - if you are up for the long drive.

The relaxed coastal town of Denmark, a 4.5 hour drive from Perth along the Rainbow Coast.

Now there is a new accommodation option in the region with Perth-based off-grid accommodation provider Heyscape announcing Denmark as the latest location for its premium cabin experience.

The cabins are located on Raintree, an oceanfront regenerative farm home to award-winning paddock-to-plate restaurant The Dam, a cannabis botanical distillery plus marrons and truffles.

The location offers views of William Bay National Park, home to some of Australia's best beaches: the dazzling Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks.

It also links to the Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi cycling track.

The cabins offer self-contained kitchens, outdoor baths and locally sourced products including The Dam's truffle butter, honey and oil, and cocktail kits using vodka distilled on the property.

Guests can also book a range of unique experiences such as a 'Marron Catch and Cook.'

Three cabins are now available to book, with plans to add more by the end of 2025.

How about a unique city vacation in Perth's Kings Park?

How about a camping experience in one of Australia's most famous city parks? 

Heyscape Tiny Cabins is bringing its off-grid and eco-friendly accommodation offering to Perth's Kings Park and Botanic Gardens for a limited time.

Set over almost 400 hectares, Kings Park is one of the world's largest inner-city parks. And it's the first time an accommodation provider has called it “home”.

Three Heyscape tiny cabins will be available for overnight stays in some of the most picturesque locations in Kings Park, with two featuring elevated, uninterrupted views of the Swan River. The cabins will be bookable for stays between June 7 and July 28. 

Heyscape head Tim Brady says unlike traditional accommodation providers, Heyscape's Tiny Cabins at Kings Park require no ground works. Each employs solar power, compostable odourless toilets, water tank and a waste management scheme to ensure the land is left as it is found.

“We can provide guests with a unique experience in an iconic Perth location, while respecting the surrounding area and leaving minimal impact,” he said.

Discover the unique rural appeal of Stella the Stargazer

Here is an innovative travel promotion.

In a move aimed at showcasing the natural beauty of Victoria, a unique off-grid accommodation experience is set to travel around the state.

Aimed at inspiring Australians to travel into regional communities during off peak periods, Stella the Stargazer is a custom-built tiny home built by Port Fairy-based design and manufacturing business Ample.

Stella the Stargazer will be located at Delatite Winery in Mansfield from May 3-August 3 so guests can enjoy the Alpine scenery.

The environmentally conscious design features a roll-out sleeping platform for stargazing, an indoor/outdoor shower, wood-fired kitchen, as well as sauna and bathing tubs built into an outdoor deck.

A bespoke artwork by Taungurung woman, Aimee McCartney – founder of Aboriginal art business, Luruk-In – will help connect visitors to the culture, seasons, mountains and waterways of Taungurung Country.

Visitors will be encouraged to taste local food and wines and check out nearby attractions such as Swiftcrest Distillery, the Great Victorian Rail Trail, and local cafes and restaurants.



In 2023, bookings for the tiny home quickly sold out for all locations including in Gippsland, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians.

After its stay in Mansfield, Stella the Stargazer is set to travel to a second location, to be announced at a later date.

Supported by Visit Victoria, it forms part of the Every bit Different marketing campaign which promotes Victoria to local, interstate and international visitors.
