Discover an affordable gourmet weekend for wine lovers

Four leading gourmet destinations in the Eden Valley have teamed up to create a weekend in creatively reworked cabin accommodation that is designed for wine lovers. 

Henschke, Hutton Vale Farm, Yalumba and Flaxman are the names behind the Ultimate Wine Lover’s weekend. 

The experience was unveiled last year giving groups of two or four people the opportunity to visit four iconic Eden Valley wineries and stay two nights in the luxurious JHA Stone Cellar. 

Now the experience is more accessible with the addition of the Ultimate Eden Valley Glamping Weekend utilising revamped rustic former workers’ quarters. 

For as little as $295 per person, guests can wake up in the picturesque Eden Valley, before exploring over 150 years of family winemaking history with Henschke, enjoy lunch served by a renowned winemaker and Masterchef contestant at Flaxman and finish the weekend off with a tour and tasting at Australia’s most historic family-owned winery, Yalumba.

The four businesses  have collated their best customer experiences with accommodation in the Hutch Hilton, located on Hutton Vale Farm, nestled in the middle of the four wineries. 

With comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms, a small en-suite bathroom each and a well set up camp kitchen, guests are surrounded by nature, sheep grazing in the paddocks and vineyards. 

Run by the sixth and seventh generations of the Angas family, guests will be welcomed with a tasting of Hutton Vale Farm wines and a look at the family history and heritage.

Next is short-drive to explore over 150 years of family winemaking history at Henschke (below).

 Then follows another short drive to the Lunch @ Flaxman experience located at Flaxman Wines. 

On the agenda, private tasting and lunch prepared by the winemaker and Season 6 Masterchef contestant, Col Sheppard. 

The next morning head to Yalumba for the ‘Unlocked Experience’ - featuring a short look at the history of Yalumba’s Hill-Smith family.  

Enjoy a private tour of the grounds, historic buildings, the unique Yalumba cooperage and the Signature cellar. The tour culminates in a tasting of Yalumba wines in the Wine Room, hosted by a Yalumba ambassador whilst sharing a platter of local artisan produce.
