Calling all young rev heads, Ferrari and Lego lovers

Calling all boy and girl racers, Lego lovers, kiddie rev heads and young speed freaks.

The world’s first Lego Ferrari "Build and Race" interactive attraction is coming to Legoland California Resort in 2022.

Featuring a life-size Ferrari F40 model developed by the Lego Group, Build and Race will put guests in the driver’s seat as they make their way through the ‘garage’ to the ‘racetrack’ using their imagination to build, test and race their own Lego Ferrari.

"Ferrari is renowned for manufacturing cars unique in terms of performance, innovation and design," said Legoland California Resort president Kurt Stocks.

"We have millions of young guests who can be inspired from this to create their own unique cars in this one-of-a-kind testing and racing facility."

Ferrari spokesperson Annabel Rochfort said: "We are excited to build upon our existing relationship with the Lego Group by combining our leading brands within this transformative entertainment attraction.

"The Build and Race experience has been designed to engage with both Ferrari and Lego lovers of all ages, aligning with Ferrari’s strategy to reach out to its younger fans."

Build and Race will feature three different zones, Travel Mole reports.

A Lego pit crewmember will greet guests as they enter the attraction, sharing Ferrari fun facts, race history, and showcasing themed Lego race gear and awards.

Once inside the garage, guests have the opportunity to sit in a life-size Ferrari F40 model developed by the Lego Group and have their photo taken.

The journey continues as they build their own Lego Ferrari car to race at one of three racetracks which include the test zone, steering test track and speed test track.

Each track offers guests different obstacles, challenges and a chance to record in the fastest time.

A Duplo build zone offers younger guests the chance to design their own creation out of bigger bricks.

Finally, once guests have customised their vehicles and raced them through the obstacles, they will be able to create a custom digital Ferrari race car.

Guests can digitally scan their vehicle and further customize their Ferrari along with their mini figure racing driver.

Once complete, the cars are digitally projected on a Lego racetrack.

Build and Race will be included in the price of admission to Legoland California Resort, which is situated in Carlsbad, 30 minutes north of San Diego and one hour south of Anaheim.

Explore the great cities of the world, high above Sydney

The Sydney Tower Eye will celebrate its 40th birthday by hosting what is billed as one of the world's most impressive LEGO® exhibitions.

The Sydney Tower Eye LEGO CITY experience has been created by LEGO Masters judge Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught.

The experience explores the life and architecture of five of the world's greatest cities; Dubai, London, New York, Tokyo and, of course, Sydney!

The focal point is a replica of the Sydney Tower made from over 30,000 LEGO bricks.

Sydney Tower Eye's exhibition features eight massive never-before-seen-in-Sydney LEGO brick skyscrapers including Sydney's Deutsche Bank and Capita Centre as well as London's 30 St Mary Axe, also known as The Gherkin.

Visitors can trace each city's evolution all the way from 1000AD to today in a fun and educational way.

From March 26, visitors to the Sydney Tower Eye can check out over 20 models created from over 600,000 LEGO bricks. Tickets to Brickman Cities powered by LEGO CITY go on sale on Monday, March 15, at Ticketek and Sydney Tower Eye.

After visiting the exhibition, guests can venture up to the Observation Deck or SKYWALK to take in 360-degree views of the city and beyond.

“As one of Sydney's most celebrated landmarks, we are excited to host The Brickman's exhibition of painstakingly created LEGO models depicting famous structures from all over the world and are proud to be able to showcase eight models that have never been seen in Sydney," said Dave Boyd, general manager of Sydney Tower Eye.
