Meet some of the winning wine faces of the Huon Valley

The other day I was lucky enough to be invited to a wine tasting at the Port Cygnet Cannery - one of the hippest venues in Tasmania.

Boutique producer Sailor Seeks Horse shares the space with the Cannery Kitchen and regularly invites other small producers from the Huon Valley and neighbouring D'Entrecasteaux Channel to collaborate.

These tastings are a chance to suss out what is new and exciting.

Here are some of the images taken at the Cannery at the weekend, featuring Sailor Seeks Horse, Chatto and Marco Lubiana/Lucille, who offered tastings alongside artisan food producers, coffee roasters, brewers and artists.

Wine lovers may recognise a couple of familiar faces in Jim and Daisy Catto from Chatto Wines, Paul Lipscombe from Sailor Seeks and Marco Lubiana (with father Stefano) from Lucille Vineyard at Cradoc (formerly Panorama).

Sailor Seeks Horse (https://sailorseekshorse.com.au) is open for tastings each weekend over the next couple of months with a couple of pop-up events also on the schedule.

Chatto Wines (https://www.chattowines.com/) can be visited by appointment, while Lucille Wines are available online at (https://marcolubiana.com.au
