Wine auction aims to aid coronavirus victims

Are you ready to celebrate your escape from lockdown with a special wine bottle or two?

Are you ready to splash out on some famous labels and do some good at the same time?

If so, check out the Rare Wine Auction to Raise Money for Foodbank and FareShare.

https://www.langtons.com.au

The Keller family of the Rheinhessen, who make the world’s most expensive dry riesling, Keller GMax, have kindly donated a magnum to help Australians suffering due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Keller’s importer, Heart & Soil, has also dipped into its cellar for a couple of rare Keller magnums (never before sold in Australia) and organised other donations to form a small but high-quality auction with some rare offerings.

All lots will also contain a beautiful limited-edition map (80 x 120cm) “art print” map of the Keller estate’s grand cru sites, hand-signed by Julia and Klaus Peter Keller.

All of the profits, which are hoped to exceed $30,000+, from #wineloversagainstcorona will be donated to Foodbank and FareShare.

Langton’s Wine Auctions are offering zero sellers and buyers’ fees.

The likes of Penfold’s Grange, Henschke Hill of Grace, Cullen Diana Madeline and Mount Mary Quintet along with some French rarities will be on offer.

The Kellers have donated GMax 2018 magnums to several other countries and some #wineloversagainstcorona auctions have achieved remarkable results.

The magnum sold for €20,000 in Amsterdam, USD$15,000 in NYC and £4750 in London! So far this initiative of one wine family has raised over €270,000!

The auction closes on June 21, so you will need to be quick.
